South Korea has confirmed its second case of foot-and-mouth disease in the last week. Quarantine officials confirmed Thursday that a cow at a farm in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, has been infected with the disease. The farm is located some three-and-a-half kilometers from the dairy farm that was confirmed to a have foot-and-mouth outbreak last Thursday. As a result, the government plans to cull some 19-hundred cattle at 12 farms located within a 500-meter radius of the infected farm.
