sterner1: Amigo ïèøåò: I know that getting the visa is not a problem there Needs a revision. Amigo ïèøåò: You can get it in the Manas Airport without any problems, just for 35$. Needs a revision.

XXL: Amigo ïèøåò: What citizenship are you expecting to get? I guess Korean... No,I came to Korea at the end of July.I live usually in Austria. My husband is austrian,he works here.Just for couple years and then we'll leave Korea for any other country. It's not a problem to get a visa..I know. But I really have nothing left there. All my friends are in Russia,my parents too.So....

sterner1: XXL ïèøåò: Just for couple years and then we'll leave Korea for any other country Needs a revision

XXL: Amigo ïèøåò: XXL ïèøåò: öèòàòà: No,I came to Korea at the end of July. Did you mean: June? No,at the end of July 2007...Did I write it wrong?!?I should check what am I writing before I send my messages...but I never do.

sterner2: XXL ïèøåò: I should check what am I writing before I send my messages...but I never do. Please keep it that way. Thanks to you we have an opportunity to see how not to write. Thank you for being with us.

sterner1: XXL writes: My "sloppy" sentence is absolutely common. Sterner: Well it may be absolutely common in Austria but not in English speaking countries. The model answer: You could say “I speak German fluently”, or “I speak fluent German”, or “I speak fluently in German”. Any of these will do, but your version (“I speak fluently German”) doesn’t sound right.

sterner1: XXL writes: Is it possible to use until with will? Sterener: Well spotted. Amigo writes: I think it's not possible to use it... XXL : 0.25 Amigo: 0.25

sterner1: XXL writes: I bet that you have never ever been sitting next to a native speaker of English. Sterner writes: Wow, it sounds so emotional. If you really want to bet I am quite happy to accept your challenge. Here is a deal, if I lose I would apologize and say that I was a rude crook. If you lose you would apologize and say that you were a stupid cow. How’s that?

XXL: sterner1 ïèøåò: Well it may be absolutely common in Austria people speak german in Austria...not english.I speak english with my friends from the base.I live near there. So believe me I have enough possibilities to practise my English. And I prefer to be corrected by the native speaker, but not by you.... sterner1 ïèøåò: XXL writes: I bet that you have never ever been sitting next to a native speaker of English. Sterner writes: Wow, it sounds so emotional. If you really want to bet I am quite happy to accept your challenge. Here is a deal, if I lose I would apologize and say that I was a rude crook. If you lose you would apologize and say that you were a stupid cow. How’s that? Truth hurts, isn't it?

sterner1: XXL ïèøåò: Truth hurts, isn't it? It is not clear if you want to bet or not. Come on, just say Yes or No.

sterner1: XXL writes: I have learnt two more languages (except English) and got in touch with thousands of people. Dutch writes: I prefer to rewrite in the following way: I have learnt two more languages (in addition to English) and got in touch with a thousand people. Instead of "in addition to" it is possible to use "besides" without any prepositions. Sterener writes: Dutch sorted out the main problem regarding “except English”, but his next adjustment wasn’t necessary ( a thousand of people). The model answer: I have learnt two more languages (in addition to English) and MET with thousands of people. Dutch: 0.25

FlyingHollander: sterner1 ïèøåò: and MET with thousands of people. Khm... "Meet" is not not used with preposition, I guess. I lived on Bokonbaeva/Moskovskaya street Your opinion means nothing for me You can get it at Manas Airport without any problems, just for 35$. And I prefer to be corrected by a native speaker, but not by you.... Truth hurts, doesn't it? Just for a couple of years and then we'll leave Korea for any other country. but the USA is full with Indians or other nationalities.

sterner2: FlyingHollander ïèøåò: and MET with thousands of people. Khm... "Meet" is not not used with preposition, I guess. You are right, you can use “meet” with no preposition. However, in this sentence “with” is also OK. There is a subtle difference in meaning, but not much.

sterner2: FlyingHollander ïèøåò: I lived on Bokonbaeva/Moskovskaya street Correct FlyingHollander ïèøåò: Your opinion means nothing for me Incorrect FlyingHollander ïèøåò: You can get it at Manas Airport without any problems, just for 35$. Correct, except for $35 FlyingHollander ïèøåò: Truth hurts, doesn't it? Second part is correct FlyingHollander ïèøåò: Just for a couple of years and then we'll leave Korea for any other country. Correct FlyingHollander ïèøåò: but the USA is full with Indians or other nationalities. Correct except for "or" Dutch: 2.5

XXL: sterner1 I have already heard about your trip to USA,but USA is full with Indians or other nationalities. You might have been working there as a waiter.Oh,now I know why the dishes like Pavlova, soup of the day (I think it's difficult to get a soup only from the whole day menu at least in Europe) and bla-bla-bla sound so familiar to you....and you think you are an expert...You can keep your apologizes for yourself and you will never get some from me.

sterner1: Task one 1) Fill in the gaps where required. Note that not all the gaps should be filled in. I lived on _____ Bokonbaeva/Moskovskaya street Your opinion means nothing _____ me You can get it ____ _____ Manas Airport without any problems, just for 35$. And I prefer to be corrected by _____ native speaker, but not by you.... _____ truth hurts,_____ it? Just for____couple ____years and then we'll leave Korea for any other country. but ____USA is full with Indians or other nationalities. 2) The phrases below are more or less OK, however can you rephrase them to make them sound more English? But I really have nothing left there but USA is full with Indians or other nationalities.

sterner2: Amigo ïèøåò: Or should I have used "a" instead? But I'm talking about the Kyrgyz visa. I am pretty sure that it should be “a”. Let me know if you want me to consult with my expert. Amigo ïèøåò: but the USA is full of Indians and other nationalities. Correct Amigo:0.5

sterner2: Amigo ïèøåò: I just wanna know why it should be "a". Sometimes I'm not good in articles. I believe that there is a logical explanation to your question. It is clear that you are talking about the Kirgiz visa. However when you arrive in Bishkek you obtain a Kirgiz visa. Next time you will obtain another Kirgiz visa and so on. So whenever you come to Bishkek you always obtain a visa. To make sure that this answer is correct I checked it with three natives. They are all positive about it.

sterner2: FlyingHollander ïèøåò: I'm surrending. The model answer: The truth hurts, doesn't it?

FlyingHollander: sterner2 ïèøåò: The truth Why "the"? Thruth is an indefinite uncountable noun. Besides, there is no any distinctness for "truth".

sterner2: FlyingHollander ïèøåò: Why "the"? Thruth is an indefinite uncountable noun. Besides, there is no any distinctness for "truth". I am sorry I can’t explain why “the” is required there. I am afraid we just need to remember it as it is. However I can assure you that this answer is correct as I confirmed it with three native speakers.

It's a very old song. But he doesn't sing "The Love hurts...."Nazareth is the name of the band...Sterner,you should correct their mistake too.....!!!

Life is hard.Love is cruel... and etc. Have you ever heard something about the abstract expression? sterner1 Don't believe your "native speakers"!Stop being so silly...they are not native speakers !
